Jvc GZ-MS120 CONNECT TO MAC??? how?

hay guys i was just wondering i got a JVC GZ-MS120 last week as a gift and was really looking 4ward 2 connecting it 2 my mac and using a stopmotion program 2 make some short animations like all the greats but when i connect my camcorder it comes up a usb menu and if i click quit out of the menu my mac doesnt recognize my camcorder..is there anyway around this? please can sm1 help me asap!!! i wasnt 2 connect it 2 film tho my mac nt upload stuff on2 my mac...i already no how 2 do tat:)
