Well, its hard to rate this not reading what has built up to this. I can see you are going for a tense moment here. I would say you are dragging it out a bit, tension only holds for so long. If you hold the suspense for too long the audience will expect a heroic escape or something. A TRUE villain would just kill her. Or, to make it more believable have Loganto kill someone Alex likes in front of her to make her believe he will follow through with his devilry.
