In New Moon Movie: Is Edward in Rio de Janeiro whenever he crushes the phone in his hand after hanging up with?

I'm wanting to work on a fanfic and that's some of the detail I want to add into the story, and I seen the glowing Jesus statue that only exists in Rio de Janeiro, that's the only reason I asked. I'd really appreciate if you could answer :)
