How can someone be so bloodthirsty that they believe someone is guilty without any hard evidence?

There was plenty of evidence... I [personally] think the prosecutor's got a little too confident. An acquittal does not mean she was innocent. Being found "Not Guilty" does not mean she's innocent, it just means the prosecutors didn't do a well enough job proving their case, whereas the defense doesn't have the burden of proof.
